From [HERE] A white New York police officer is under investigation after he allegedly broke into a Nashville home where he used a racial slur against a sleeping family.
Officer Michael Reynolds, of Manhattan North, was reportedly caught on surveillance footage walking down the street around 2.30am on July 9 in a Nashville neighborhood.
Conese Halliburton said the officer, who was an Airbnb guest at a house nearby, broke down her front door.
You heard the big boom and that was my door getting kicked in. My sons were trying to stop him and he's like, 'this is my m*****f**king house, this is my house!' He kept repeating it,' Halliburton told News 2.
Halliburton, who has lived at her home for 30 years, said the man refused to leave. That's when her oldest son threatened him.
'My oldest son said, "I will kill you if you don't get out of my house,"' Halliburton told the station.
In the video, a man's voice is then heard shouting: 'Try to shoot me, I'll break every bone in your f**king neck. You f**king n***er.'
The man eventually left and a short time later Nashville police arrived but were unable to find him. Halliburton said she confronted the Airbnb guests with her neighbor the next day.
The man reportedly apologized for breaking into her home.
Reynolds was later identified as the officer under investigation over the incident.
He was described as a white male, with buzzed blond hair and blue eyes.
Witnesses reported that Reynolds also appeared to be intoxicated at the time of the alleged break-in.
According to the NYPD, Reynolds' duty status has not changed while the department awaits the results of Nashville's Investigation.
A spokesperson for the department said they are working closely with the Nashville police on the matter.
Charges have yet to be filed but a Nashville police spokesperson said the officer could face misdemeanor charges for aggravated trespassing.
