Blackademics-Africalogy as experienced and taught from an Afrocentric lens. A process of unlearning by the miseducated Negro into the still-shining yestermorrow of glorious Black civilization-Dr Blynd

According to FUNKTIONARY:

Blackademics – Africalogy (Afrikan history and cultures) as observed, directly experienced, researched, contextualized, problematized, and taught by Afrikans and people of Afrikan descent from an Afro-centric prism through the lens of the native Black American tradition and struggle. Blackademics involves a process of unlearning by the miseducated and misguided Negro into the still-shining yestermorrow of glorious Black civilization. The objective of Blackademics is a reorientation of education towards an Afrikan-centered paradigm where all modes of learning contribute towards the benefit of the student within the greater context of cultural upliftment and economic empowerment of the Afrikan community through critical analysis, knowledge of Self, and full-scale realization of our interconnectedness and interdependence (i.e., individual, group and shared history), as a means of common struggle for geopolitical survival, liberation and selfdetermination. The mission of Blackademics is the development of street-smart scholar-activists and warrior-activists both within the universities and outside of them deep in the urban and rural communities where Black empowerment can blossom up from the grass-roots. Blackademics (Africentripetal Thought) is one of the core curricula designed and taught at the University of Chocolate City since 1985.
