Brooklyn Man Fatally Shot by Police Fired at Officers First

A Brooklyn man who allegedly stole $36 from an all-night car wash was shot and killed by officers during a gun battle early yesterday, police said. The man, whose name was not released pending notification of his family, was shot several times after he fired at officers arriving at TT's Millennium Car Wash and Quick Mart in East New York just before 2 a.m., police said.
