Marion Barry Sworn In - Calls DC Baseball Deal "a Train Robbery"

The battle lines are already being drawn between D.C.'s former and current mayor over the issue of a new baseball stadium. Ward Eight Councilman Marion Barry plans to fight any public funding for a home for the Washington Nationals. The council voted last month for half the stadium to be financed with tax dollars.  But Barry calls Mayor Anthony Williams' deal with Major league Baseball "the greatest train robbery since Jesse James." He says giving the land and infrastructure for the ballpark should be enough for baseball.  Newly elected council members Kwame Brown and Vincent Gray say they want to consider their options.
