Hmong Protest Over Milwaukee Police Beating of Koua Moua
Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at 11:10AM Hundreds of Hmong supporters are expected at Milwaukee City Hall this morning. They plan to protest police brutality against minorities. This stems from a case back in February when a man named Koua Moua was pulled over on a suspicion of drunken driving. Police say Moua drove off, dragging the officer. That cop eventually pulled Moua to the ground and hit him with his radio, leaving Moua badly bruised. Authorities say the case has been investigated and that the officer acted properly. The state is taking a second look at the case at the request of the Hmong community. [MORE]
